Access and getting Started

To grant a user access to Yoda, a project space must be created and a user account must be added by the Yoda administrator. Whilst Yoda leverages on a user’s VUnetID as an authentication and identification mechanism, single sign-on (SSO), users should always use their primary e-mail address to login to the Yoda Web Portal. After receiving an invitation, you can accept the invitation to proceed to log in to the system. Depending on your access rights you may invite other users to the project space.

Working With Your Project Space

A project space is the place for storing and organising data during your project. To transfer data to Yoda from your computer, you must first create a data access password. Depending on the Operating System you are using, different methods can be used.

Metadata and Dataset Preparation

Yoda enables you to add metadata to describe and contextualise your dataset. You can find more information in the Metadata section. You can easily search for your files in Yoda using the built-in search tool.

Archiving and Publishing

Once your research is complete, you can archive and publish your data.
